Statement in Response to Attacks and False Claims

Riverside, CA — Today, a spokesperson for Clarissa Cervantes for Assembly, Natalie Betanco, released the following statement:

These attacks are absolutely false. This is more MAGA-style deception from Leticia Castillo and her political and corporate special interest bosses. They’re desperate to keep her in Sacramento doing their bidding while people are being crushed by corporate price-gouging and Trump’s attacks on our communities.

The father of Clarissa’s daughter who made the comments cited in the attack ads later recanted and admitted they were untrue. Below is a quote he wants us to share:

Being young and immature back then, I made up those allegations which I regret deeply.
